Cocktail Piano by request

I made this project in two weeks from inception to completion. Since my first serious solo piano recording of original material was released in 2008 I’ve been working on classical piano music and more of my own “serious” music, then certain events lead to this body of work. I needed a break or diversion from this intensely personal struggle of creating original art, and revisit an old friend - my cocktail jazz gigging days of the past - a familiar environment of which I have decades of experience. It was fun and easy. I have many special people in my life that probably have always wanted to hear me do something like this, not the least of which are the ones who became the special “requesters” of the repertoire here. I can easily imagine this music being the most accessible of my recordings as it is “easy-listenable” and fits into a marketable niche very well - jazz piano standards.
