This was a bit unexpected. I wanted to do something mainly vertical (chordal) and this is what came out. I like playing in Eb a lot and my comfort level with the key means an idea can go many directions.
I wanted to bring out the top note and talk a bit about doing that in a many-notes-at-once scenario. I'm not bringing the top note out at least in a real noticeable way but there is some inner voice movement in spots.
I really don't have more to say about this piece except that it came out kind of nicely I think. A gospel/hymn kind of thing.
